Concept idea to thisAdvice by Slasher12
it about Mortimer first date with Stella.

Mickey cousin invites his and his friends to the ball, Mortimer uses this as a first date for Sella. He wants it to be prefect and not end up with her dumping him like what happen with Minnie, so he gets his friends to help.

At the party everything seems to be going good until the gang except Mickey and Minnie starts to meddle.

Stella oblivious to whats going on so she sees Mortimer looking tired and stressed so she pulls him away from the party and into a music room and plays a harp for him putting the stress mouse in the state of bliss.

Hello KJ, you wanted critique? Im glad you asked because tonight you're going to get some now that I picked up some harp music to listen to while I give a more in-depth review of this wonderful piece here.

Vision) After re-reading the comments section to get a full understanding of the pic here, I could almost say so far that this date is going superb with these two as Stella wraps Mortimer's attention with the sweet sounds of a harp here, with that said I can also say that the details with Stella's dress and how shiny the harp looks really enhances how much detail you put into this.

Originality) Im giving this 4 stars, normally when most BF/GF's go out for dates, usually its dinner or a movie or somewhere in-between but it looks like Mortimer decided to have a brief moment with Stella at her place and as soon as Mortimer walks inside, Stella decides to further charm the redeemable anti-villian by playing a few memorable songs on the fabled string instrument, I could almost envision her play some songs from a bunch of Disney movies I grew up watching.

Technique) I don't recall what art program you used but the details are really nice, I really like Stella's dress and how sparkly it looks as well as how shiny the harp is. Mortimer's tuxedo also came out well as you managed to convey a black on black with the character suit and the background here, which is difficult to pull of effectively but you did a very nice job here.

Overall Impact) Im giving this 4.5 out of 5 stars, not only because I enjoy watching your works but as a member of the Disney Fandom, I could so envision this being part of a segment of "The House of Mouse" where Stella is a member of the cast and she sees the goodness in Mortimer and the rat really tries to have the redeeming qualities of being good by treating Stella out on a date and he becomes so smitten by Stella's harp playing that he loses his sense of reality as he's fixated by the sweet sounds of the harp playing. As a matter of fact, I could almost hear Stella play the harp myself.

Hey Kim? What made you like Mortimer so much? I read the disney wiki about him, and to me he seems like a lost cause for redemption. Question

I grew up with this character and he makes me laugh more then Mickey.
I was introduce to him when I was a kid at that time I got bored of Mickey and then "Mickey's Rival" cartoon came along and the rest was history.

He is actually is redeemable giving his character and the fact he is not a villein just a neutral rival.  In some comics I read Mickey actual relayed on him in some stories.

I also work on his article on Disney wiki for a few years before that time it was almost empty of information now that I put up some information on my research of him and lots of photos everyone pitch in. I still goo back there to make sure everything is accurate to his character.
